Helathy Lemon Yogurt Cake recipe!

Just delicious. The texture, the consistency, the flavors… All in this cake is amazing, and so easy! And this is the perfect example that you can also eat healthier without having special ingredients at home, so let’s see the recipe;


-1 + 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (all-purpose works too or half whole wheat and half all-purpose if you don’t like the whole wheat flavor)

-2 tsp. baking powder

-1/2 tsp. salt

-1 cup plain yogurt (if you want a low-fat version use low-fat Greek yogurt)

-1 cup brown sugar (for sugar-free version use Truvia or Stevia)

-3 large eggs

-zest form 2 lemons

-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

-1/2 cup melted margarine or vegan butter (for a healthier version use coconut oil or canola oil)

-Powdered sugar


Preheat oven to 350┬║ F or at 180-170 degrees. Spray a 9×5 loaf pan with cooking spray; set aside. Then, combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.

In another bowl, combine yogurt, sugar (or the sweetener of your choice), eggs, lemon zest and vanilla extract and stir well to combine, slowly whisk in the flour mixture. Fold in the vegan butter or margarine (or oil of your choice).

Pour into prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. When is baked take it our from the oven and powder with some powder sugar, then let it cool. Cut one big slice and enjoy!



Helathy Carrot Cake recipe!

I think my favorite cake is the carrot cake! It has so a special flavor and the ingridients are so different than the other cakes…You know, when I was little my mum made this cake and I thought: “Omg, carrot with cake? No, please.” But then I tried it and I was so wonder because of the good taste and this special flavor that I never taste before! And yes, you can make this cake in a healthy way too. Actually the original recipe is quite healthy, so I just changed some ingridients but not that much! Let’s start with the recipe!


-130gr vegan butter, canoa oil, extra light olive oil or coconut oil (I use vegan butter)

-200gr brown sugar

-2 eggs

-1/2 tsp cinammon

-pinch salt

-milk of your choice

-200gr whole weat flour (I think oat flour will work as well)

-170gr carrots

-50gr walnuts

-3 tsp baking powder


Beat first the eggs, then add the melted butter or oil and mix it well. Add after it the sugar mix well and add the sifted flour, is better when you first put half of the flour mix it good and then add the other part. Add gradually enough milk to have a good consistency. Then add the cinammon, the salt and the baking powder and mix another time. After it, add the grated carrot and the crushed walnuts, mix well. On a floured mold spread the dough and bake at 180 degrees for 30 hour or until is gold-brown and comes the smell out. Click the cake with a toothpick, if it comes out clean the cake is ready. Let it cool and enjoy!
